To the horror of my friends, family, and random dates, I decided to start a blog. I’ve been keeping journals since 1996 when my therapist (in New York City) told me to write down my thoughts.
The result of keeping therapeutic journals:
1. Fourteen sketch books (so far) of different patterns and colors stored in an oversized Rubbermaid container (my three sisters will find them the day I die and read about every time they pissed me off. What can they do? I’ll be dead already.)
2. A narcissistic need to write about myself and prove, once again, that the world DOES revolve around me.
3. My first divorce.
Good results all together.
Now, my sisters, my dates, my friends, my ex-husbands (got two of those), my family, will all be immortalized not only in the privacy of blue Rubbermaid, but in the World Wide Web! I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. I am the oldest of the bunch, the queen of them all. One sister is 7 years younger, the other (and the brother) are 10 years younger, and our baby, who I could have had myself at 17 (if life was an after school special). For my stories, let's call them Sister 1, Sister 2, Little Sister 3, and The Brother. All my siblings are married (of course they are) so I have a Cuñao 1, Cuñao 2, Cuñao 3, and my Only Cuñaita.
It was the oldest two ( Sister 1 and Cuñao 1 ) that encouraged me to share my words... be careful what you wish for.
